Our Team

Dr. Takeda grew up in Hacienda Heights and then went on to earn her Bachelors of Science degree from California State University in Long Beach where she graduated with honors.  She received her doctorate degree from the prestigious Southern California College of Optometry in 2005.  While attending SCCO, Dr. Takeda received scholarships and awards for excellence in Primary Care, Vision Therapy, and Academics.

Her clinical training included internships at the VA Hospital in West Los Angeles (focusing on ocular disease and geriatrics) and the San Diego Center for Vision Care (which focused primarily on Pediatrics and Vision Therapy). Dr. Takeda is licensed in the use of therapeutic and diagnostic pharmaceutical agents, which allows her to diagnose and treat a wide range of ocular disease, including glaucoma. Dr. Takeda also specializes in fitting contact lenses on patients with keratoconus by using specialty hybrid lenses. Interested in LASIK? Dr. Takeda has undergone LASIK herself, so aside from co-managing her patient’s LASIK procedures, she is also always eager to share her personal experience with potential candidates.

When Dr. Takeda isn’t taking care of her patients, she is spending time with her husband and two young boys. She also enjoys running and playing basketball. While in college, one of her many jobs included working as a character in Disneyland. Dr. Takeda enjoys working in a private practice because it allows her the opportunity to establish long-term relationships with her patients while providing quality care.

Judy's wide breadth of experience in the optical industry spans over 11 years.  She has been working with Dr. Takeda for over 7 years now and currently manages both Lakewood Optometry and Pacific Eye Care.  What she loves most about her job is being able to interact with patients on a daily basis and establishing long-term relationships with them.  She derives a great deal of satisfaction in helping each person look and see their best!  Providing excellent customer care is her primary goal. Judy is fluent in both English and Vietnamese.  

When she isn't working, Auntie Judy loves spending time with her nieces and nephews, all 8 of them!

Clint has been with Dr. Takeda at Lakewood Optometry since March of 2021. Prior to that, he worked as an Optometric Technician for over 7 years in his hometown of Juneau, Alaska. Clint moved to California from Alaska to escape the rain, and continue his education in hopes of one day becoming an Optometrist himself. Having a passion for working with people has helped Clint build long lasting professional relationships with patients, and provide the highest quality of care.

In his spare time, Clint enjoys gaming, spending time with his dog, skiing, going to the beach, and taking in all that beautiful southern California weather has to offer!

Oscar joined the office in May 2024 with 7 years of optical experience. What he enjoys most about being an optician is getting to know each patient. He makes an effort to fit each patient in a frame according to their needs with the latest frame styles. He is currently on the path to become an optometrist!

When Oscar is not working his very best at Lakewood Optometry, he spends his free time mountain biking and traveling with his family. Fun fact, he shares the same birthday with 6 of his family members!

After a brief stint in substitute teaching, Larissa has returned to what she loves best - helping patients select glasses that match their personal style. Larissa thinks glasses serve more than just a function, and can also be a fun accessory or statement piece. She likes a pop of color and fun designs. 

When not in the office, Larissa likes to people watch at Knott's Berry Farm with her teenage daughter. She's also a big fan of Halloween and attends spooky events all year round.
